It’s August, but it’s not too early to start thinking about 2014 Halloween costumes. It’s almost fall, after all — school has started for many, Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte comes out next week, and after the chilly temperatures we had this summer, it’s like we just have an extended fall! We have a few ideas as to what people will be dressing up as this Halloween. Do you think we’re right? Let us know!
Most Popular Halloween Costumes 2014: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
These heroes in the half-shell are the mainstays of any child of the 80s saturday morning cartoons. We think with the release of the new movie, we’ll see an uptick in sales of Rit dye in various shades of green as well as Angelus shoe paint! You have to have your shoes be green, too — after all, the Turtles fight barefoot.
Most Popular Halloween Costumes 2014: Pharrell
We definitely think Pharrell, whose song “Happy” and his gigantic hats have taken the US by storm, will be a big costume this Halloween! And this one is easy: hit up a thrift shot or a hat store for a cool, kooky hat (better if it’s a Canadian Mounted Police hat!) and a great outfit and you’re good to go.
