Fashion Fix Friday: Smelly Shoes
Author: Cheryl Kilbourne-Kimpton
I hate smelly shoes. Whether they’re gym shoes or flats, it stinks (literally) to have smelly shoes. Plus, it makes your shoes wear out faster — they may look great on the outside, but if you can’t take your shoes off without nearby flowers wilting, you’ll end up throwing out those cute shoes. We have a few ways to combat those stinky slippers, though — have no fear!

Stinky Shoes: Funky Flats
Flats, the workhorses of any woman’s wardrobe, can get funky fast– and they’re also the ones most likely to live in your bag, where it smells up everything else. How do you fix it? Try Flatliners, which stick to the inside of your flats and eliminate odor. Change them every three months to keep your flats fresh.
Stinky Shoes: Smelly Sneakers
Sneakers are tough too — your foot sweats, you exercise, maybe they’re in a gym locker — all things that lead to stink! Try SofSole Sneaker Balls. They live in your shoes, and release a fresh scent that helps deodorize.
Stinky Shoes: Putrid Pumps
Maybe your pumps and high heels get a little rank, too? I like these double-duty Household Essentials Shoe Refresh bags. They’re filled with all-natural cedar, and not only do they naturally refresh your shoes, they help them keep their shape! They’re great for men’s dress shoes as well.
Stinky Shoes: Fusty Feet
You ca always take care of things at their root: your feet! If your feet aren’t sweating and damp, you’ll have a lot less scent. Kleinert’s Dry Feet takes care of foot sweat for up to 7 days– so you can rest easy that your feet and shoes will be a little more fresh.
